A nationally recognized law firm is seeking an Environmental Associate to join its highly ranked Environmental Law practice group in Washington, DC. About the Role
As an associate, you will:
Advise clients on compliance with environmental regulations, permitting processes, and agency rulemaking.
Handle enforcement defense and litigation related to environmental, natural resource, climate change, and sustainability issues.
Collaborate with a diverse team on long-term projects involving established clients across industries such as energy, manufacturing, and real estate.
Work on cutting-edge matters involving air quality regulation, climate change mitigation, environmental justice, and ESG initiatives.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will have:
1–3 years of experience (class of 2021–2023) with environmental law in areas such as compliance counseling, permitting, enforcement defense, or litigation.
Strong academic credentials and excellent written and oral communication skills.
A demonstrated interest in natural resource regulation, climate change mitigation, and sustainability.
Active DC Bar membership (preferred but required within one year of joining).
