Fleet Laboratories is looking for a Lead Validation Engineer to oversee a team of two or more validation engineers.
OCCUPATIONAL SUMMARY:
The Lead Validation Engineer will be responsible for supervising and executing validation activities related to manufacturing, raw materials, packaging, testing, and distribution. This includes equipment qualification (IQ/OQ/PQ), process validation, and cleaning validation. The role will provide leadership and technical expertise to ensure compliance with company standards, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices. The Lead Validation Engineer will also develop company validation standards and provide oversight to quality programs such as change control, calibration, and technical releases.

Accountabilities
- Supervise and lead a team of validation engineers, providing guidance, training, and support.
- Perform and oversee validation activities including writing protocols and final reports, reviewing testing methods, and analyzing data.
- Maintain proper adherence to validation and stability guidelines, ensuring compliance and operational efficiency.
- Develop and write validation policies, procedures, and protocols.
- Lead the execution of IQ/OQ/PQ, cleaning validation, and utilities validation.
- Work closely with Engineering on new equipment specifications and engineering changes related to process and cleaning validation.
- Evaluate, identify, and develop company validation and stability standards to meet global and industry regulatory requirements.
- Supervise, coordinate, and provide QA oversight for line/ship tests.
- Manage the change control process and ensure compliance at Fleet Laboratories.
- Provide technical support on process investigations, quality improvement initiatives, and CAPA activities (corrective and preventive actions).
- Train, mentor, and develop validation engineers to enhance technical capabilities and professional growth.
- Offer technical support to corporate and international programs.
- Use analytical judgment to troubleshoot and rectify issues in testing and processing while adhering to product quality standards.
- Perform FATs (Factory Acceptance Tests) and provide technical expertise for acceptance tests on-site.
- BS degree in Math, Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in Validation and/or Technical Services.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a supervisory or leadership role.
- Experience in pharmaceuticals or other GMP-regulated industries.
- Strong knowledge of equipment qualification and validation processes.
