Locations: New York City, Wilkes-Barre, PA, Philadelphia, PA, Parsippany, NJ  (Hybrid – 3 days in office, 2 days remote)
Salary Range: $60,000 - $100,000 per year

Position Overview

The Workers' Compensation Claims Representative will be responsible for handling loss time claims across multiple jurisdictions, with a primary focus on New York. This role involves managing complex claims, working with legal teams, and ensuring compliance with state regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate and process loss time workers' compensation claims to determine compensability and coverage
  • Negotiate settlements under management’s guidance
  • Gather medical and factual evidence to support claim decisions
  • Coordinate external investigations and direct field activities
  • Manage litigation and work closely with outside counsel
  • Communicate effectively with claimants, attorneys, insureds, medical providers, and other stakeholders
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and state-specific regulations

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience in New York loss time workers’ compensation claims (litigated claims experience required)
  • Knowledge of NY Employer’s Liability claims is a plus
  • Ability to manage claims across multiple states
  • Strong negotiation, problem-solving, and conflict resolution skills
  • Demonstrates a positive and team-oriented attitude
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred, or equivalent combination of experience and education
  • Active NY adjuster license is a plus

Work Environment:

This is a hybrid role requiring in-office work 3 days per week. Occasional travel may be required.
