A leading law firm is seeking a talented Bankruptcy Litigation Associate to join its dynamic commercial mortgage-backed securities special servicer and creditors’ rights team. This position is available in Detroit, Chicago, New York, or Princeton offices, offering the opportunity to work on complex and impactful legal matters.
About the Role
As a Bankruptcy Litigation Associate, you will:
Handle all aspects of commercial foreclosures, receiverships, real estate-related litigation, and bankruptcies
Manage motion practice, discovery (including e-discovery), and courtroom appearances
Work on commercial landlord-tenant litigation, including preparation and service of predicate notices and court pleadings
Collaborate with a skilled team focused on creditors' rights and special servicer matters
Ideal Candidate Profile
We’re looking for someone who brings:
4 to 6 years of experience in commercial litigation or bankruptcy litigation
Expertise in commercial foreclosures, receiverships, and real estate-related litigation
Experience with motion practice, discovery processes, and courtroom advocacy
Familiarity with commercial landlord-tenant litigation
Active bar membership and good standing in the state where you practice
Strong academic credentials and excellent communication skills
